Before the growing season begins, shareholders fill out an "application" with us (the farmer); we agree to grow crops for a predetermined fee and bring them to a designated location for distribution. We try hard for shareholders to receive information on how to prepare and store their product, as well as information about the farm and membership activities, such as scheduled farm visits, potlucks, etc.

The CSA will be for approximately 22 weeks, divided into an 11 week Spring session and an 11 week Fall session.
The Spring session will start approximately at the beginning of May and run through the end of June. The fee for this 11-week session is $317.50. The Fall session will start mid-August and run through the end of October. This 11-week session costs $317.50, preferably due by June 15, 2008. Enrolling for both sessions and paying by December 22nd, 2007 entitles you to a discounted fee of $600 for both sessions. We don't close enrollment until all spots are filled.
Deliveries will be Tuesday or Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. You must choose your delivery day at the beginning of the session and keep that delivery day for the duration of the session. You may change your delivery day for the Fall session.
No new members will be taken once delivery starts for each session.
You will also be able to purchase free-range eggs each week for a reduced price of $3.25 per dozen large, $3.75 per dozen jumbo while the CSA is in session. Beef, pork, and poultry will be available each week for purchase. On occasion, other local fruits or veggies not grown by Misty Meadows Farm could be offered for sale (e.g. blueberries, strawberries, peaches, apples, etc.) as available.
Fees are non-refundable, as we use these fees to buy seeds and plants, etc. If you are not able to receive your share as specified and you have not made provisions for someone to pick it up, we cannot hold your share until the following week. If you cannot make it to distribution, you can have someone else pick up for you or make other arrangements with us, but please call and let us know. (If you call us on the day of distribution, we have already picked your share. We do understand that sometimes there are emergent situations that just can't be helped.) If for some reason you cannot continue to receive your share, you can assign it to a person of your choice.
